Have you ever had a sudden tightness in your throat before speaking your truth? Or a gut pull that told you something was off—before your mind could catch up? These moments aren’t just bodily reactions. They’re energetic messages. In the work I do—blending psychology, somatics, and esoteric wisdom—I’ve come to see the body not only as a vessel but as an oracle.

Your body holds ancient stories. Sometimes they are personal—shaped by your life experiences. But often, they echo the residue of ancestral trauma, past life imprints, or soul contracts. The chakra system, when viewed through both an energetic and spiritual lens, offers a map of these messages. Each energy centre becomes a voice—a gateway—to deeper healing, memory, and transformation.

Root Chakra: “I am safe”

When clients come to me with chronic exhaustion, overthinking, or financial instability, I often find the root chakra is blocked or depleted. One client, during a body-focused regression, felt a cold sensation at the base of her spine. As we explored it, through hypnosis, she connected to a past life where she had died during childbirth. In this life, she struggled to ground or feel safe in her body, especially as a mother. Once we brought awareness, breath, and ritual to the root, she began to stabilise—not just energetically, but emotionally and financially as the weeks went on.

Sacral Chakra: “I feel”

Emotions live here. Creativity, sensuality, grief. I had a client who carried intense shame around intimacy. During a somatic scan, her hips locked, and she felt overwhelming sadness. We later uncovered a generational pattern of suppressed female pleasure and unexpressed grief. When she began working with water (baths, ocean meditations, even sacred dance), the energy began to thaw. Her dreams returned. So did her joy.

Solar Plexus: “I act”

This is the chakra of will and power—but also ego-wounding. A client came to me stuck in burnout. She was successful but felt empty. In guided breathwork, we found a tight band around her ribs. With deeper energy healing, we uncovered a soul contract from a past life where she vowed to “serve others” at the cost of her own needs. She believed success had to hurt. Once that contract was released, her vitality surged—and she began building a business that nourished her in alignment with who she was.

Heart Chakra: “I love”

The heart holds grief, but also ancestral longing. I remember working with a woman who had persistent chest tightness, especially around family and worrying about losing them. Through dreamwork and energy healing, she saw images of her great-grandmother, exiled from her homeland. This dislocation had passed down a deep ache for belonging. We created a ritual to honour that ancestor—offering rose petals, song, and breath. The next week, she reported a spontaneous reconnection with an estranged cousin. Her heart opened, as she welcomed new family connections.

Throat Chakra: “I speak”

This is the energy of expression, of truth. I’ve seen throat issues show up not only from current-life silencing but from past lives where speaking up led to punishment—witch trials, persecution, exile. One client, a writer, would choke every time she tried to share her work. In a shamanic journey, she saw herself as a healer silenced by fear. After a series of intentional vocal practices and energy clearing, she published her first piece—and her physical throat pain vanished.

Third Eye: “I see”

This is the seat of intuition, but also spiritual disorientation. When blocked, it can lead to confusion or disbelief in one’s own inner knowing. A client once described feeling “foggy” and “detached.” In energy work, her third eye pulsed with heat. We explored dreams, and she began painting what she saw. One image depicted an ancient temple with symbols she'd never consciously seen—later identified as sacred glyphs from an early mystery school tradition. Her psychic gifts strengthened with every session.

Crown Chakra: “I trust”

The crown is where we connect to the Divine. When blocked, people feel disconnected, hopeless, or spiritually flat. One client said, “I feel like I’ve been abandoned by God.” Through daily meditation, violet flame invocations, and breathwork to open the crown, she reconnected—not with a dogmatic image of God, but with her own divine self. Her despair softened into devotion.

Lesson From Listening

When we listen with reverence, the body becomes a sacred messenger. It whispers truths, reveals wounds, and reflects our evolution. Through the chakras, we gain access to not just energy—but soul memory.

If you’ve ever felt like something deeper is speaking through your body—trust it. You are awakening.

Your body remembers. Your energy knows. Your soul is ready.
